• To protect the right to hunt, fish, and trap.
  • To conserve, promote and protect Idaho’s lands, wildlife and wildlife habitat for the future enjoyment of all citizens.
  • To encourage, expand, and include the participation of the men, women, and children of Idaho as Sportsmen in the outdoor pursuits of hunting, fishing, and trapping.
  • To support the use of the best available biological science as guidance for management decisions that serve the long term welfare of fish and wildlife.
  • To support the long term economic viability of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.
  • To ensure sportsmen in Idaho have reasonable continuing access to public lands to enjoy outdoor pursuits.
  • To expand and improve Sportsmen’s access to private lands in cooperation with landowners.
  • To protect the sportsmen’s investment in wildlife and fisheries management by safeguarding:
             - the fees paid by Sportsmen to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game
                     for all permits, licenses, and services. All sportsmen’s dollars shall remain
                     within the Fish and Game budget and not be diverted to other government
                     departments or entities.
             -   The integrity of user-fee trust funds such as the Federal Aid in Wildlife
                     Restoration (Pittman-Robertson) and the Federal Aid in Sport Fish
                     Restoration Act (Dingell-Johnson: Wallop-Breaux).
  • To support efforts to enhance multiple use habitat management for wildlife and fisheries, and the sustainable use of renewable wildlife resources under professional and scientific management.
  • To recognize and support the importance of fishing, hunting, trapping and other outdoor activities to our State and the National economy.
